ISCHIA OF PAST TIMES: ISLAND TOUR BY MICROTAXI
Visiting the island by microtaxi means looking at Ischia with different eyes, which shows itself in its purity and originality with an almost traditional antique flavor.
The tour starts from the port of Casamicciola, the beating heart of island thermalism and continues towards Lacco Ameno to discover the Fungo, a rock carved by the waves of the sea. Also in Lacco, the church of Santa Restituta with its archaeological excavations and towards the bay of San Montano.
From bay to bay, towards San Francesco with a view above the town of Forio to take magnificent photos! Leaving the visit to the Giardini La Mortella and down to Forio with a visit to the church of Soccorso overlooking the sea with a 15 minute walk in the center.
To the west the Giardini Poseidon and the fishing village of Sant’Angelo with a 30-minute stop.
Going up you continue to the viewpoint of Serrara, another suggestive panoramic point and then down again towards the bay of Maronti.
The tour ends in the municipality of Ischia for the inevitable visit to the village of Celsa where the view stops in front of the imposing Aragonese Castle. 20 minutes stop.
Different eyes, therefore, to the discovery of the old and dear Ischia island that can be contained in the famous aphorism of Marcel Proust: "the real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes".
